The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) has granted licenses to two new Multi-System Operators (MSOs) in the period from November 30, 2022 to December 31, 2022, bringing the total number of registered MSOs to 1,748 as of December 31, 2022.

SLJ Fiber Networks Pvt. Ltd and Deepanshu Cable Network received their licenses on December 12, 2022, while Tamil Nadu Arasu Cable TV Corporation Ltd, Godfather Communication Pvt. Ltd, and M/s Intermedia Cable Communication Pvt. Ltd were granted provisional registration.

On the other hand, MIB cancelled the licenses of Digi Space Network Pvt. Ltd and Mahalaxmi Cable Network.
